Cognitive remediation therapy for mental health

Cognitive remediation therapy (CRT) is an evidence-based therapy for improving neurocognitive functioning such as memory, attention, problem-solving, processing speed, reaction time, and concentration. CRT teaches skills and strategies that transfer to real-world situations.

In my practice, I combine state-of-the-art technology with humanistic and dynamic approaches for individuals who present cognitive deficits. My treatment method for these deficits is to create specialized neurocognitive exercises paired with technological devices such as eye-tracking, biosensors, and computer software to improve the area of the brain responsible for the cognitive deficits.

I use Cognitive Remediation to treat neurocognitive deficits in the following conditions:

Psychiatric

  • Schizophrenia

  • Bipolar

  • Autism

  • ADHD

Medical

  • Mild to moderate Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Early dementia

  • Alzheimer

  • Sturge Weber Syndrome

  • Epilepsy

CRT aims to facilitate neuroplasticity in the brain, which will allow you to improve, recover, or decrease cognitive impairments. The benefits of this type of therapy are that there are no emotional or physical side effects, it’s non-invasive, and sessions can be done in person or via teletherapy.
